I must say. It takes a very compulsive and enviable human to have open shelving in their kitchen. As much as I enjoy cooking away in my shiny All-Clads, as soon as those suckers are dry, I want to shove them behind closed doors and not think about what they look like. I do, however, sincerely appreciate open shelving and the ease and casualness of the whole sitch-ew-ation.

Easy. Breezy. Beautiful. Cupboardless girls.

I always love kitchens that look like these ! I always want kitchens like these.
ReplyDeleteBut my one worry has always been, do you have to constantly dust/clean all those things sitting out on kitchen shelves.
I have things on top of my cupboards that need regular washing from the dust that gathers ..
But they look soooo good !
I guess the alternative would be glass doors. I think my favorite is the first one.
I wanted to show you this photo of brown parti poodles.. Watson might be interested.

Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSigh. I am currently painting my kitchen cabinets and took the door off of one measly section for an open shelf look. That's all i can handle!
ReplyDeleteThat Southern Living kitchen just kills me. You are a great writer and I enjoyed every kitchen you posted.
Haha so true, they'd be perfect if I had the time, no shedding dogs, and pretty dishes to display!
