Style Stalking: Fort Worth Home

Like most home obsessed humans, I engage in a little residential retail therapy from time to time. Not really sure why because I just end up torturing myself by observing what I can't afford. It's painful. But, lucky for you, I do it anyway.

Sometimes I've seen all HAR (Houston realty folks) has to offer and I wander up north for a gander at what's going on in my college stomping grounds of Fort Worth. If I wasn't really torturing myself before, this really does it. I mean, really. It depresses me to think what you can get for the same amount in Houston as you can in Fort Worth. Take this beauty up above. Simply charming with a touch of quirk. You know you're about to enter a goodie when you ring the doorbell.

And then you enter the kitchen, and you're all, "OK, this is lovely and all and I'm a superfan of a white kitchen but where's the quirk I was promised?"

And then you see it peeking over in the breakfast nook.

And on the backsplash and the roman shade.

And the fact that the cabinets are painted seafoam green inside.

Quirk with a touch of glam.

I'm obsessing over this dressing area. Typically you see dressing rooms all frilly and pink and white and airy but the fact that this is much more masculine and a little tribal really revs my engine. And the fact that the window treatment mixes two sassy prints, well, I just fainted.

Yes, I do believe I can get clean in this retreat.

And wash my hands with a slew of canines.

But then I stumbled on this. Baby. A baby that must be a rockstar.

Because the baby has an Imperial Trellis crib bumper and is constantly on vacation in Palm Springs. This baby, well, is probably way cooler than your baby. Just saying. I think it's really thoughtful that these parents would let this bouncing tot constantly hang out by the pool unattended. Must be a really trusting bunch.

And as if that wasn't cool enough, they have a staircase to heaven. Because clearly heaven looks like this house.

If this is your home, or you know whose home it is, give them mad props and tell them I like what you're working with. Also ask if they're willing to sell their house to me for tradesies with Watson. Never mind. Weak moment. Will never do that.

Watson Wednesdays: My New Place

So, I've been a naughty blogger. I really should be in bloggie time out considering my lack of entertainments I've provided you this past week. But you see, this happened to me:

Yes, please have pity on me. It's been trying and tough but someone is enjoying the change:

Don't get too comfy with these peeks though, readers. I only plan on revealing the grand surprise once each room is in place. This is merely my way of torturing you. Cruel? Maybe. But hopefully it's worth the wait.

In the meantime, I'll show you what I have been up to. Shopping. Where there is a new home, shopping shall ensue. What better place to shop for design on a dime treats than Home Goods, Marshalls, or TJ Maxx?! No place. That's where. Here are my recent finds...

I mean...wud up Home Goods, Marshalls and TJ Maxx? Do you want to have my children? Because you bore a few of them these past few weeks. If you haven't been or been lately... Check. Them. Out.

What do you think I brought home? Roommates can't participate in this little game.

If Teleportation Were A Thing, I Would Be Here

This week has been an interesting one. Moving, packing, working. All things testing my patience and sanity. I'm floating through and trying to be a positive little pea pod and praying that everything magically ends up where it needs to be. That will happen, right?

What I'm really needing right now is a vacation. Obviously I need a teleportation device of some sort. That would make things A. Free and B. Immediate. Where would I teleport to in my teleportation device? A.N.G.U.I.L.L.A.

I made it! I teleported onto this sweet little boat.
That's Dante. He's rowing me to shore. Kind lad.

"Duh, Anguilla. You should know that the lesser known Viceroy (popular big sister in Palm Springs) is the Viceroy Anguilla and it's fantoooobulous. What makes it even more fantooooobulous is that is was decorated by Kelly Wearstler."

"EGHAST! Sounds like a place filled with magic."

"So glad you mentioned that. It is filled with magic. Magical powers you have yet to experience because you don't have a teleportation device like me. So, I'll share my vacation shots with you."

"You're the kindest female blogger I have ever met. Bless you."

(Blushes) "Yes. Yes I am."

The lobby screams, "Hi Kelly Wearstler was here
and she made me a pretty little princess."

This vignette looks like Kelly threw up her Werstlerness all over it.

Here I am. Hoping I never have to leave the Viceroy.
Day dreaming that all of my packing woes are rectified at home.

Didn't I have a lovely vacation? Sadly, I had to teleport back home today. I will keep you all posted on my path to insanity and upcoming move.

It's Thursday sistas and brothas!
